While working for Go Media in Cleveland, I created many event themed cards and invitations. From open houses to holiday cards, creative solutions were always of the utmost importance to excite our clientele, and the cards performed well. The attendance to events was always great, and everyone always had a good time.

Hellion IPA is a home brewing experiment. Created out of my love for all things loaded with bitter hop flavor, I designed this packaging for the bottles that were to be given to my family and friends. It turned out to be a fun exercise in packaging design, and it will become the cornerstone of my brewing empire!

The Bandages are a local Chicago indie rock band that tasked me with designing the packaging for their full length album Unravel. The six song album deals heavily with themes of heartbreak and despair. The packaging was designed to reflect the quartet’s name as well as serve as a visual metaphor for the album’s hefty content.

Established in 1966, U.S. Corrugated is one of the largest independent corrugated packaging producers in the United States. They work with a diverse clientele of large fortune 500 companies as well as smaller “mom and pop” shops around the country. As the result of a series of expansions and takeovers, they were concerned with updating their web presence to better compete with their competitors sites.

<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78294/1666832/USC_full.jpg" border="0" width="670" height="441" width_o="670" height_o="441" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78294/1666832/USC_full_o.jpg" align="left" />

As part of the website redesign process, I proposed a redesign of their logo. Ultimately it was out of their budget to change the logo across all their plants and trucks company wide, but the results of the process were noteworthy.

Market Garden Brewery was the brain child of local Cleveland entrepreneur, Sam McNulty. The owner of West 25th street staples Bier Markt and Bar Cento continued his investment in the neighborhood when he decided to open the Market Garden Brewery in 2011. While these designs didn’t make the final cut, it was a fun and noteworthy exercise.

Located in the Gordon Square Arts District of Cleveland, Gypsy Beans and Baking Co. is locally owned and independent bakery and café. As the area was going through a revitalization spurned on by many new and restored shops and businesses, chef and owner Nikki wanted to refresh Gypsy’s web presence with an updated look in accordance with all the new attention the business was receiving. Drawing inspiration from the shop’s many thoughtfully decorated chalk and bulletin boards, the site reflects the personality of the small store.

Goose Island is one of the largest craft breweries in the country. Located in Chicago, they pride themselves on making beers with flavor profiles influenced by artisans in Europe and beyond. As part of their rebranding, I was commissioned to illustrate the various ingredients that make their beers so special. The illustrations appear on their flagship beer, Honker’s Ale, and their Nut Brown Ale.

Emerging from the trend of community based contest sites, Textile Republic offers a fresh take on print design for the textile industry. Founded in 2007 by the brother and sister team of Kimberly and Brian Osborne, Textile Republic offers textile designers an opportunity to get their designs produced and printed on consumer goods. The following images are the result of a full brand and website redesign project.

Located in Chicago, Be Blocks produces 100% natural bamboo toy blocks that allow a parent or child to create their own unique keepsakes. Each set comes with stencils and non-toxic markers which a customer can use to design the blocks, or they can create something all their own. I was commissioned by the company to create packaging for the individual pack and the 9 pack bundles, as the company was looking to expand the line. Following the standards of the current brand, the designs allowed the natural blocks to be featured through die cuts in the packaging. These cut outs also served as a way to incorporate the stencils into the designs and in the process reducing the environmental impact of the product.
